Our daughter LOVES these. She wears them whenever she is in princess or dance performance mode. Many times she begs to wear them outside. We bought them when she was 2.5ish and they are still in good shape - she is now 4. We are back for another pair. One thing is that they do run small so get a bigger size than you need - at least a whole size. If they really are too big for starters it will not matter too much because strap holds foot in and sole is soft and flexible so they are less likely to trip. They are a lovely gold tone. Probably a safer choice for dress-up than the plastic heels that many children use. -- THE golden slippers
